Get Negative! Card Challenge

Click >HERE< for our No Patterned Paper Badge Winners!

Create a card with the NEGATIVE space of a die or punch and link your blog post featuring that card in the inlinkz at the bottom of this post!  Please use your first name and last initial for your name/description.  All cards must be flat enough to fit in an envelope for mailing but may be any size or shape.  We hope you'll join us for this challenge!

To give you some great ideas, check out these cards by our Cards in Envy Designers!  More details on each card can be found on their own blogs by clicking on the link by each designer's name.

Donna's taking a break on this challenge to take care of some personal family business.
She'll be back for our next challenge.

Sherry, Bits of Cheer

We'd love to see your GET NEGATIVE! cards!

Here are a few reminders about our challenge requirements:
  • No lumpy, bumpy cards.  Elements on your card need to be relatively flat (no thicker than 1/4") so your card would fit in an envy (envelope) for mailing
  • Limit entries to 3 per challenge.
  • No Back Linking--cards must be posted to your blog or an online album during the challenge dates. If it was posted online BEFORE the beginning of our challenge, it cannot be linked.
  • Entry must be for the current theme.
  • Cards Only--NO TAGS

Additional rules can be found under the Challenge Guidelines tab at the top under our blog header.  Entries not following our rules and not for the current challenge theme will be deleted without notice or comment. We accept any size/shape of card BUT all cards must be flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing (no thicker than 1/4") which means no lumpy, bumpy embellishments. Challenge ends Sunday April 15th  at 6:00 p.m. Central Daylight Savings Time.

Our Designers will be voting on the cards after the challenge ends and the winners will be announced by Wednesday morning  following the close of the challenge.. We will have one FIRST CLASS which is the card that receives the most votes from the Designers and considered the best overall card for the theme.  The Designers will also pick one card as their personal favorite for an IN THE MAILBOX badge. That means we may have up to 10 In the Mailbox cards for a challenge.  We decided to go with this fun method as each Designer has their own unique style and preference.  Each chosen may grab one of our fun badges for their blog! The badges for the challenge will be in the winners post following the close of the challenge after all the Designer votes are in.  The winners will also be announced on our Facebook Page, so come Like us so you'll know quickly if you are a winner.

Thank you for sharing your card that is flat enough to mail in an envelope with us at Cards in Envy!

Please use your FIRST name and LAST INITIAL for your inlinkz entry name.

  1. Your inspirational cards are all bright and springtime fantastic for this challenge! I tried to enter my card, but the Inlinkz opened to a blank gray screen. Since there are other entries, it must be on my end and I'll keep trying, but I thought I would mention it. ❤️Hugs, Darnell

    1. Thank you Darnell. I checked on my end and it goes to the inlinz okay. It is a gray background with the area you fill in in a box so it sounds like your internet is not loading fully. Please try again maybe tomorrow. Good Luck!

    2. You were right, Sandy. I'm having trouble with my Chromebook; it loaded just fine on my PC.

  2. Another fun challenge and fab inspiration!
