Today, February 1st, is a sad day in our card crafting online community. Early this morning after this post was scheduled to go live, our dear honorary Cards in Envy Designer, Denise Gray, passed away after an almost 2 year battle with cancer. She impacted many with her love of creating beautiful cards and was the co-host for this card challenge blog. Cards in Envy was her idea. She is loved by many and will be missed so much. Your thoughts and prayers for her husband, son and daughter and other family members and friends will be greatly appreciated. Good-bye Denise, we love you and know you are making beautiful cards in heaven with no more pain.
And of course, Denise would want us to continue to make cards for this blog challenge. Our theme is "From the Heart" which is so appropriate for today. Join us in making "From the Heart" cards in honor of Denise...
Please note: Our challenge for the next two weeks is still "From the Heart" however, if you'd like to make a card in honor of Denise and would like to send it to her family--a sympathy card, thinking of you, all our love etc. with a heart on the card would be appropriate and accepted for this challenge. Also, this one time only because Denise had card friends all over the world, we will waive our "No Square Cards" rule and A2 card size requirement. We hope you will join us in honoring this beautiful and creative lady. If you need her family's mailing address, please contact me via email at: strefger at gmail dot com with " Denise Address Please" as your subject.
Hello everyone! It's February! That means our favorite "love" day will be here soon and of course that means it's time for a "love" card challenge. Our theme is FROM THE HEART (love cards and/or Valentines). As always cards for this challenge must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing. We can't wait to see what you all share with us!
To inspire you, our Cards in Envy Designers came up with some wonderful love and/or Valentine cards! Please click on the link by their name to go to their own blogs for more details about their card and leave them some comment love so they'll know you stopped by.

Our Designers will be voting on their favorite cards which will be announced on our blog the Tuesday or Wednesday following the close of the challenge.. We will have one FIRST CLASS which is the card that receives the most votes from the Designers and each Designer will pick one card as their favorite for IN THE MAILBOX. That means we may have up to 10 In the Mailbox cards for a challenge. We decided to go with this fun method as each Designer has their own unique style and preference. Each chosen may grab one of our fun badges for their blog! The badges for the challenge will be in the winners post following the close of the challenge after all the Designer votes are in. The winners will also be announced on our Facebook Page, so come Like us so you'll know quickly if you were a winner.
THIS IS A CARDS ONLY CHALLENGE. Entries not following our rules and guidelines will be deleted without notice or comment. REMEMBER! NO SQUARE or SHAPED CARDS unless you provide the measurements of your shaped card. Challenge ends Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. Central Time.
