Hello and welcome back to another fun challenge here on Cards in Envy where we make A2 (4.25"x5.5") cards that fit in envelopes!

Our challenge this time is THROUGH THE WINDOW cards.  These are easy, peasy to make.  All you have to do is cut an opening on the front of your card so we can see what is on the inside of your card--like a little window peeking in.  Your "window" could be a circle, a square, a heart, a star or an actual window! It is up to you but just remember that your card cannot be a square card.  It must be the A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and relatively flat so it fits in an envelope for mailing through the postal system.

Our designers have once again created some fabulous cards for our theme to give you plenty of inspiration! I know it's hard to see in photos, but all of these cards have a window opening that allows you to peek inside the card.

Now it's your turn. But first a few reminders:
  1. No square cards.  All cards entered must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5")
  2. No lumpy, bumpy cards.  Elements on your card need to be relatively flat (no thicker than 1/4")
  3. Limit entries to 3 per challenge.
  4. No Back Linking.  Cards must be posted to your blog or online album during the challenge dates.  If it was posted online BEFORE the beginning of our challenge, it cannot be linked.
  5. Entry must be for the current theme: Through the Window card

  1. I don't understand why more people don't enter this challenge. You always have fun themes and I love competing for a badge. I'm making cards for OWH all the time so fitting in an envelope is necessary most of the time. US postage goes up on Monday so who wants to pay extra because of a button, multiple layers of foam adhesive, or bulky bows? Your DT does a wonderful job with their inspirations cards, too.
    I just don't get it!

    1. Thanks Debi! Some themes get more participants than others. Our numbers are low because we are only a year old and because it is a challenge to make a card the correct size and not so thick. Many challenge participants make one card and then look for challenges that it will fit rather than finding a challenge and making a card. Most of our participants are OWH card creators and we are fine with that and are happy to provide a challenge for those who want to make a card specific for our challenge and themes. Hope to see a card from you for this challenge!
