Bug Me! (Insects & Bugs) Card Challenge!

Hi all! Do bugs & insects make you itchy?  Us too but we still want to see them on your cards for this challenge!  So show us what you've got for bugs & insects (butterflies count too!) in your card making these next two weeks!  Card Challenge Theme:  Bug Me! (Insects & Bugs).

To inspire you, our CIE Designers have another great assortment of "buggy" cards!  Please click on each designers blog name for more details about their creations and leave them some comment love. We also want you to join us  in welcoming Sherri Thacker from Sherri's Flip-Floppin' Blog to the team! Sherri has participated in our challenges in the past and guest designed for us last month. We are thrilled to have her join our team and share her style of card crafting with all of you.  For more about Sherri and all our Designers, click on the Cards in Envy Tab above under our header.

We'd love to see your Bug Me! cards. Please read over our challenge requirements and then share your card in the linky at the end of this post.

Here are a few reminders about our challenge requirements:
  • No lumpy, bumpy cards.  Elements on your card need to be relatively flat (no thicker than 1/4") so your card would fit in an envy (envelope) for mailing
  • Limit entries to 3 per challenge.
  • No Back Linking--cards must be posted to your blog or an online album during the challenge dates. If it was posted online BEFORE the beginning of our challenge, it cannot be linked.
  • Entry must be for the current theme.
  • Cards Only--NO TAGS

Additional rules can be found under the Challenge Guidelines tab at the top under our blog header.

Our Designers will be voting on the cards after the challenge ends and the winners will be announced by Wednesday morning  following the close of the challenge.. We will have one FIRST CLASS which is the card that receives the most votes from the Designers and considered the best overall card for the theme.  The Designers will also pick one card as their personal favorite for an IN THE MAILBOX badge. That means we may have up to 10 In the Mailbox cards for a challenge.  We decided to go with this fun method as each Designer has their own unique style and preference.  Each chosen may grab one of our fun badges for their blog! The badges for the challenge will be in the winners post following the close of the challenge after all the Designer votes are in.  The winners will also be announced on our Facebook Page, so come Like us so you'll know quickly if you are a winner.

THIS IS A CARDS ONLY CHALLENGE--NO TAGS.  Entries not following our rules and not for the current challenge theme will be deleted without notice or comment. We accept any size/shape of card BUT all cards must be flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing (no thicker than 1/4") which means no lumpy, bumpy embellishments. Challenge ends Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Central Daylight Savings Time.

Leave a comment and link your Bug Me! (Insect or Bug)  card in the linky below. We prefer that your card be showcased on your blog and linked to our challenge blog post.  If you do not have a blog, you may link your Instagram post of a photo of your card.  Videos are not allowed.  Thank you for sharing your card that is flat enough to mail in an envelope with us at Cards in Envy!

Please use your FIRST name and LAST INITIAL for your inlinkz entry name.

  1. Oh, my gosh, fun challenge! I haven't played in a while, but yours was always a favorite because I love the idea of keeping it flat. Make 'em and mail 'em! Super cute DT samples, girls!
