Celebrate the Season Card Challenge

Well it's almost here whether you are ready....or not! The holiday season...Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year's Eve.  If you make cards, it's a good bet you've made one or more for this holiday season and we want to see what you've created to CELEBRATE THE SEASON.  Your card can be any size, any shape BUT it must be flat enough to fit in an envelope (envy) for mailing.

To inspire you, our designers have created some wonderful cards for how they celebrate the season!  Please click on each designers' blog name for more details about their card creation and while there we'd love for you to leave some comment love.

We'd love to see your  CELEBRATE THE SEASON cards. Please read over our challenge requirements and then share your card in the linky at the end of this post. 

Here are a few reminders about our challenge requirements:

• No lumpy, bumpy cards.  Elements on your card need to be relatively flat (no thicker than 1/4") so your card would fit in an envy (envelope) for mailing
• Limit entries to 3 per challenge.
• No Back Linking--cards must be posted to your blog or an online album during the challenge dates. If it was posted online BEFORE the beginning of our challenge, it cannot be linked.
• Entry must be for the current theme.
• Cards Only--NO TAGS

Additional rules can be found under the Challenge Guidelines tab at the top under our blog header.

Our Designers will be voting on the cards after the challenge ends and the winners will be announced by Wednesday morning  following the close of the challenge.. We will have one FIRST CLASS which is the card that receives the most votes from the Designers and considered the best overall card for the theme.  The Designers will also pick one card as their personal favorite for an IN THE MAILBOX badge. That means we may have up to 10 In the Mailbox cards for a challenge.  We decided to go with this fun method as each Designer has their own unique style and preference.  Each chosen may grab one of our fun badges for their blog! The badges for the challenge will be in the winners post following the close of the challenge after all the Designer votes are in.  The winners will also be announced on our Facebook Page, so come Like us so you'll know quickly if you are a winner. 

THIS IS A CARDS ONLY CHALLENGE--NO TAGS.  Entries not following our rules and not for the current challenge theme will be deleted without notice or comment. We accept any size/shape of card BUT all cards must be flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing (no thicker than 1/4") which means no lumpy, bumpy embellishments. Challenge ends Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. Central  Time.

Very Vintage Christmas Card Challenge

Hi Everyone, we hate to do this in bright red but we are only a few days into this challenge and have already had to delete three entries for not following our challenge rules! PLEASE read the rules before you link your card. NO SQUARE CARDS, NO SHAPED CARDS, NO EXTRA THICK CARDS WITH THICK BOWS AND FLOWERS.  All cards MUST be flat enough to fit in an envelope for mailing in the USA and they must be an  A2 size (4.25" x 5.5").  We are sorry if you've made a card that does not fit our guidelines but this is the main part of our CHALLENGE.  Thank you!

Wow! What a great turnout we had for our last challenge! We want to thank each and every one of you for linking your beautiful cards to our blog and we want to welcome all new followers as well as our regulars.

Now it's time for a new challenge and of course, we all know what time of year it is, right?  Which means we want to see your Christmas cards. But not just any Christmas card, we want to see your Very Vintage Christmas cards--those cards you create with a vintage/antique vibe. Remember your card must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") AND flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing.

Christmas in July Challenge!

Hello everyone!  Did you know that it's only a little over 5 months until CHRISTMAS???!! With that in mind, we've decided that here at Cards in Envy to have a Christmas in July challenge!  Yep, we want to see CHRISTMAS CARDS!  All cards linked to this challenge must be A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing.

Our CIE Design team got all jolly and came up with these fabulous Christmas cards to inspire you! Please be sure to click on their blog link by their name for more card details and to leave them comment love on their blogs.  This will be Ellen's last challenge with us as a designer for awhile.  We hate to see her go but she needs a break!  Hopefully she'll be able to join in on our challenges from time to time and will consider coming back as a designer in the future.  We will be introducing two NEW designers with our first challenge in August!
